Hawkins School Officials Looking For Renovation Revenue
Hawkins County education officials are trying to decide whether to spend at least two million dollars to renovate a school or bus students to Rogersville. Engineers have deemed the more than sixty year old Keplar Elementary as safe, but also stated there’s much work to be done to bring the school up to par. That leaves Board of Education members searching for funds for the needed repairs or an alternative plan that could mean busing the students to Rogersville if Keplar is closed.
