Kingsport man Headed To Prison For Counterfeit Money Scheme
A Kingsport man accused of spending counterfeit monies in multiple locations across the region is headed to prison for more than three years. 39 year old Jason Massengill, recently pleaded guilty along with three other men in a conspiracy to defraud the United States with counterfeit bills. Other indicted in the case include 19 year old Robert William Guy of Kingsport, 19 year old Sean Bowman of Jonesborough and 36 year old Darrell Hobbs of Gray.Investigators say the men produced more than 150 thousand dollars in fake money and spent it throughout the region.
