Barter Theater Expansion Plan…A No Go

A deal to expand Southwest Virginia’s most well known theater into neighboring North Carolina has apparently fallen through. Barter Theater has announced its plans to expand into Mount Airy North Carolina will not be moving forward. Officials say Mount Airy did not receive approval for financing the deal from the North Carolina Local Government Commission.
