New Virginia Law Aims to lower Medication Costs
A new law in Virginia is aimed at helping residents get the lowest cost for medication. The new law strips away some red tape that previously may have led to some paying more for their medicines. Sometimes it is cheaper to pay out of pocket for prescriptions. However, pharmacists were not allowed to tell patients this because of contractual obligations. The new law eliminates those restrictions. Governor Northam has signed the legislation which will take effect January 1, 2019.
