Pair Arrested in Christmas Eve Burglary

A duo have been charged with aggravated burglary stemming from an incident that happened back on Christmas Eve. Misty Mercer, 30, and Jacob Mathes, 27, allegedly operated together to steal from a home on Boone Avenue. Mercer then sold stolen jewelry to an area pawn shop. Mercer is being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond. Mathes is being held on a $20,000 bond and awaiting arraignment after being arrested early Wednesday morning.
