Man Arrested In Scott County After Stealing Church Van

A man who allegedly stole a van from a church in Yuma Virginia is in jail. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says 24 year old Jose Molina Diego was spotted by members of Catrons Chapel Primitive Baptist Church. A Weber City Police officer attempted to pull over the van, but Diego kept driving until he eventually ran off the road and crashed on John B.Dennis Bypass. Police say, Diego then tried to run from the seen but was caught not far from the van. Diego faces charges of theft of property over one thousand dollars, driving without a license and being a Fugitive from Justice.
