Man In Suspicious Vehicle Arrested After Fleeing Police

A call to police about a suspicious vehicle in Hawkins County has landed a Jonesborough man in jail. 46 year old Steven Goodwin, ran from police and fell, but managed to get up and slip away from authorities. As police approached Goodwin he threatened police with a knife and police then tazed Goodwin before he barricaded himself in a home. He was eventually apprehended with the assistance of a K9 officer. Goodwin is being held on a one hundred thousand dollar bond on charges of aggravated assault, evading arrest, and resisting arrest.
