Norton Man Faces Sentencing Hearing in Shooting Death of Girlfriend
The sentencing hearing of man who pleaded guilty to shooting his girlfriend in 2014 begins Thursday. Mathew Wesley Tate pleaded guilty in June of 2016 in the Wise County Circuit Court to charges of first degree murder of Kristina Maria Padilla. It’s reported Tate shot Padilla seven times on october 2014 at Lakeview Storage in Wise during a heated argument. Tate Faces a Maximum penalty of life plus three years in prison.
