Co-Owner Of Southwest Virginia Funeral Home That Burned…Sentenced For Federal Fraud
The co-owner of a Castlewood, Virginia funeral home, destroyed by fire in 2014 is sentenced to probation and a 25 thousand dollar fine in a federal fraud case. Michael Paul Riebe and his father in law owned the funeral home and court papers indicate insurance coverage on the Castlewood property was increased to more than a million dollars just two and a half weeks before the fire occurred. Riebe was sentenced for knowingly transferring property to prevent search and seizure by the government.
