ETSU Student Writes Bill Recently Signed By Governor Haslam

A new bill recently signed by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, that protects students serving in the military, who are called to active duty was written by an ETSU student from Kingsport. Devon Waldroff wrote the bill while thinking about the need for legislation as he balanced long weekends of military requirements with college. Under the bill, students serving in the military and who are called up to active duty can now withdraw from a course or take an incomplete without it affecting their financial aid status.
