Woman Dropped Off with Neck Wound at Area Hospital, Supposedly Brought from Mount Airy, N.C.

According to Washington County, Va. Sheriff Fred Newman, a woman that was found wrapped and bloody in a blanket with a serious neck wound outside of Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, was brought all the way from Mount Airy, North Carolina. Mount Airy officials have been notified and are assiting in the investigation. The woman is expected to recover.
