Domestic Stabbing Leaves One Hospitalized and One in Kingsport City Jail

Kingsport Police have arrested a man and a woman has been hospitalized after a domestic incident at the 2000 block of Berry St. Harvey Radford, 55, allegedly stabbed his girlfriend twice, slashed her arms and tried to stab her once more in the stomach. The female victim reportedly begged him to hand over the knife, at which point he did and then smashed her phone. She ultimately drove herself to the hospital for treatment. Police observed the injuries and deemed them to be consistent with the victims report. When they arrived at the scene of the crime, Radford reportedly exited the Berry Street home onto the front porch wearing bloody clothes. He was taken into custody and police located the knife described by the victim shortly after. Radford is charged with aggravated domestic assault and is being held in the Kingsport city jail.
