Lee County man sentenced 20 years for aggravated malicious wounding of a child
A Lee County man is facing 20 years in prison for the aggravated malicious wounding of a child.
Jacob Lefevers filed an Alford plea back in February, meaning he did not admit guilt but recognized there was enough evidence for conviction.
The severe head injuries to the girl were “non-accidental” and caused by brutal force. Doctors at Lonesome Pine Hospital and the University of Tennessee Medical Center informed investigators the victim has permanent brain damage due to her injuries.
Upon Lefevers’s release from prison, he will serve a 10 year probation.
