Conditions Ripe for Falling Trees

With the ground already saturated and more rain expected to enter the region in the coming days, ground conditions have become ripe for falling trees.

Once the root system of a tree loosens, even slight winds can topple it over. If you look around the base of tree and see that the groud is craking or softening it could mean trouble.

It is possible that a tree on private property or public property can fall and cause damage to it’s surrounding. It’s also important to be cautious on the roadways as falling trees may injure or even kill motorists.
