Lawsuit Over Opioid Abuse May Be Heard In Tazewell County

A Russell County Virginia man with convictions in several southwest Virginia counties is now facing a slew of new charges including drugs and eluding police after leading authorities on a high speed chase. 35 year old Daniel Ray Dunford of Castlewood reached speeds of one hundred miles per hour before he ditched his vehicle along Interstate 81 at exit 67. Dunford then fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later. A passenger in Dunford’s vehicle wasnt arrested and in fact Dunford is also charged with her abduction.
