Virginia Lawsuit Alleges Pharmaceutical Company Caused Opioid Crisis
A lawsuit filed last week by the Virginia Attorney General alleges that Purdue Pharma Inc, caused the current opioid crisis by fabricating and creating an illness that increased the number of pills a patient could receive. The lawsuit further alleges Purdue Pharma sales represenatives discussed with health care providers how to distinguish between a pseudoaddiction and actual addiction to opioid pills. Attorney General Mark Herring says if the Commonwealth wins the lawsuit,they plan to get monetary compensation for those affected
