Jonesborough Man Facing DUI Charges After Hitting And Seriously Injuring Elderly Couple

While two elderly pedestrians continue to recover from injuries they received after being struck by a truck in a parking lot, the driver of the vehicle is now facing serious charges including DUI. 24 year old Skylar Hawk Sexton of Jonesborough was driving a pickup truck in a Colonial Heights parking lot when he hit the gas instead of the brakes. The truck jumped several curbs,hitting three vehicles and then struck and seriously injured an 80 year old man and 88 year old woman who were in the parking lot at the time of the crash. Sexton was released on a thirty one thousand dollar bond.
