Norton, Virginia Drowning Victim’s Body Recovered From Douglas Lake

The body of a Norton Virginia man who drowned in Douglas Lake last week has been recovered by divers. 24 year old Hector Guillermo Mercado Perez was swimming from a boat when he began to struggle and went under. Rescue teams used GPS coordinates from a video taken before the drowning that assisted divers in locating Perez Saturday night.
