Over 200 Workers to Be Laid Off at Kingsport Industrial facility

More than 200 workers at a Kingsport industrial business are expected to lose their jobs next week according to a state report.

TEC industrial filed the notice of permanent layoff effective July 16. Layoffs will imapct 238 workers from the facility on Konnarock Road in downtown Kingsport.

In response to the expectations of displaced worers the Local Workforce Area 1 rapid response team has been notified.
