Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department Launches Program To Assist Elderly Residents Who Live Alone
The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Department is launching a new program aimed at keeping an eye on elderly residents who live alone. The Silver Care Program provides a daily call from the sheriff’s department to elderly residents, with physical disabilities and who live alone. A members neighbor will be asked to check on the resident if the sheriff’s department call goes unanswered. To be eligible for membership a resident must be at least 65 and has some kind of physical disability.
