Pyranha Canoes and Kayaks plans on investing one million dollars to relocate from Asheville to Erwin along the banks of the Nolichucky River at the Devil’s Looking Glass. Pyranha makes roto model canoes and kayaks and has been a leader in research and development of polymer kayaks since the 1970’s The company hopes to be in operation by late 2018.
