Johnson City Police ID Woman’s Body Found In Apartment

Police in Johnson City have identified the body of a woman found in an apartment recently. Police say 37 year old Mary E. Hammitt of Elizabethton was found deceased in an apartment at Lakewood Village on Lakewood Drive. Hammitt’s body was found Saturday night with no visible signs of trauma. An autopsy is being performed to determine the exact cause of death. Johnson City Police continue to follow up on the case.
