Southwest Virginia Drug Ring Leader Receives Hefty Federal Prison Sentence

The ring leader of an elaborate drug conspiracy and money laundering operation in southwest Virginia is headed to federal prison for 27 years. 57 year old Richard Henry Kayian is sentenced as part of operation Leaving Las Vegas…Kayian and his associates…all from southwest Virginia were sentenced for bringing at least 500 grams of methamphetamine and oxycodone into the region by a money laundering operation. Kayian will also have to pay more than 700 thousand dollars in restitution as part of his sentence.
