Tennessee’s Largest Health Care Providers To Reduce Premium Rates Next Year
Both of Tennessee’s largest health insurance providers say they plan to reduce premiums for individual plans under the Affordable Care Act. Blue Cross and Blue Shield, according to the Chattanooga Times Free Press will reduce its average cost for premiums by nearly eleven percent next year. CIGNA insurance has proposed cuts of just under five percent. The rate reduction follow several years of double digit rate hikes in the insurance industry in Tennessee.
