Lieutenant Forrest Sharpe of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office Passes Away
Lieutenant Forrest Banks Sharpe of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office passed away on Monday. Lt. Sharpe filled many roles in his career which started in 1980 as jailer.
His various leadership roles inlcluded corrections, investigations and patrol.
Sheriff Dexter Lunceford considered him a friend as well as a colleague. Sharpe is also reported to have been well liked within the department for his “gentle nature and deep sense of humor.”
Details are limited at this time as to the cause of death.
