Hog Wild Saloon Could Soon Be Demolished

In less than three months, Kingsport’s Hog Wild Saloon, which is temporarily closed could be demolished due to code deficiencies and other safety violations with the buildings structure. The popular nightclub has been closed since March, when 16 year old William Newkirk Jr, was charged with the first degree murder of Brett Rodgers of Kingsport. Following that shooting, an assessment of the building was conducted and several violations and other safety concerns were discovered. A plan in now in place to demolish the building and a decision could come within the next month and the property owner will then have sixty days to appeal.
