Four People Arrested for Carter County Burglary
A burglary in Carter County has resulted in the arrest of four.
A report from the Carter County Sheriff’s Office says that deputies responded to a call of a break-in and attempted shooting after 7:00 P.M. 39-year-old Joseph Hill made the call to authorities that his house had been broken into by two people who tried to shoot him.
When deputies arrived on the scene, they found the burglars 35-year-old Crystal Rainbolt and 38-year-old Carl Hinkle still inside the home. Both were arrested on charges of aggravated assault, especially aggravated burglary, and criminal trespassing.
A search of the house resulted in deputies finding a .22 caliber revolver and a 7.62 semi-automatic rifle. Joseph Hill and 41-year-old Tina Rainbolt were also arrested for unlawful weapon possession.
All four suspects were taken to the Carter County Detention Center. Crystal Rainbolt and and Adam Hinkle are being held on a $9,000 bond while Tina Rainbolt and Joseph Hill are being held on a $1,500 bond.
