Sullivan Escapee Recaptured

An inmate at the Sullivan County jail who pretended to be another inmate and escaped is now back in custody at the Blountville facility. 28 year old Corey Moore, of Kingpsort was being held on charges of premeditated murder. Jail officials believe Moore, pretended to be and obtained release orders from 41 year old inmate Charles Ellis who was to be released on Tuesday. Moore presented to be Ellis and was booked out of jail. He then stole a vehicle before ditching it on Highway 11W. Moore was apprehended around three Wednesday morning hiding in a ditch along side the road. We’ll have more on this story later this morning.
