Johnson County Man Wounded In Shootout…Now Facing Charges

A Johnson County, Tennessee man will be charged, but remains in the hospital after being shot in an exchange of gunfire with a neighbor, who was also wounded in the shootout. Sheriff’s authorities say Dayton Ray Stout went to a nearby neighbors house on Dry Hill Road and fired six shots. The resident returned fire, striking Stout in the torso. Stout was flown to a nearby hospital, while the other victim was transported by ambulance. The investigation is continuing.
