Marsh Regional Blood Center…Sole Provider Of Blood Supply For Ballad Health

Over the next few months, Marsh Regional Blood Center, formerly owned by Wellmont Health , before its merger with Mountain States, will become the sole provider of blood for all its hospitals. Blood Assurance and Medic will no longer contract services with Ballad Health. The decision to make the change was made with the assistance of a national consulting firm. The blood collected through Marsh Regional Blood Center remains in the region to service local communities.
