Virginia Industrial Park Aims to Expand Operations with the Help of AFL

The Bristol-Washington County, Virginia Industrial park hopes to expand its operations with the help of an existing industry inside.

A report from Gov. Ralph Northam said AFL will make a $1.3 million investment in the facility for new machinery. Additional lines of operation and 20 new positions will be created.

AFL purchased the metal castings division of Electro-Mechanical Corporation which opened in Bristol in 1958. The company produces fiber optic cable and hardware as well as a variety of wire components for number of industries.
