Greene County Commissioners Say No To Massive 79 Million Dollar School Consolidation Plan

Greene County Commissioners have voted no to a massive 79 million dollar school consolidation plan. The proposal would have moved students from the four current high schools into a new school. Commissioners became concerned when they learned the 79 million dollar figure did not include funding for the land for the project. Commissioners also voted for a property tax increase to help fund an SRO program and a four point six percent raise for county employees.
