Bristol Police Investigating Murder-Suicide

Bristol, Virginia police are investigating a murder-suicide. Officers were called to a domestic situation on Vance Street in the early hours Wednesday morning.

When the arrived they found the wife dead in the backyard with a gunshot wound to the head. The spotted the husband carrying a gun and tried to get him to drop it and surrender.

He instead shot himself in the head and was rushed to the Bristol Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
