Kingsport Couple Charged With False Reporting After Fatal Motorcycle Crash

The Kingsport Police Department has filed false reporting charges against two individuals in a case involving a recent motorcycle crash that kills a Church Hill Tennessee man. Police say 29 year old William Caporiccio and 23 year old Herietta Weaver both of Kingsport, lied to police about their involvement in a crash last week that killed 26 year old Johnny Berry when his motorcycle crashed into Caporiccio’s vehicle at a high rate of speed and one wheel off the ground. Weaver, claimed to be the driver of the vehicle Berry crashed into, but an investigation revealed that Caporiccio was actually behind the wheel at the time of the crash. Caporiccio is now charged with driving on a revoked license and driving without insurance.
