Husband And Wife Charged With Theft Over Ten Thousand Dollars

A husband and wife in Kingsport, who were staying as house guests at a friends home, and are charged with stealing more than eleven thousand dollars in insurance settlement money are scheduled for a court appearance Wednesday. 42 year old John Alfred Franklin and his 20 year old wife, Nikkie Taylor Franklin allegedly stole the money from the friend after he cashed a settlement check totaling fifteen thousand dollars and left the money on a nightstand. The two are charged with one count each of theft over ten thousand dollars.
