Special Agent Charged Charged with 12-count Superseding Indictment
A special agent with the Virginia State Police is now facing a 12-count superseding indictment against him in federal court.
46-year-old Shade Carlton Workman is charged with counts of bribery, racketeering, intimidating a witness and destruction or altercation of records.
Workman was initially arrested in August and indicted on a charge of lying to an FBI agents about a sexual relationship with an informant.
Workman is accused of soliciting sexual favors from three different informants between 2015 and 2018. He’s also accused of taking a prostitute into West Virginia for a sexual act cost
ing $50.
One informant told the FBI that she engaged in sex with Workman in hist patrol cruiser, a motel and in the offices of a regional drug task force.
Workman is scheduled to be arraigned Friday.
