Soft Lockdown Lifted At Northeast Tennessee Prison

Things are finally back to normal at the Northeast Tennessee Correctional Center in Mountain City after being placed in a weekend long lockdown and soft lockdown after a prison officer was attacked and injured by an inmate at the facility. That officer has been cleared to return to work and prison officials are lifted the soft lockdown that was put in place Friday. Evidence is being collected and will be presented to the District Attorney’s Office for possible prosecution.
