Weekend Traffic Crash Kills One In Kingsport

Kingsport Police continue to investigate a two vehicle crash over the weekend that kills a Kingsport man. Investigators say a pickup truck driven by 74 year old Rita L. Cline pulled into the path of another pickup on Fort Henry Drive in Colonial Heights. Cline’s vehicle collided with the oncoming truck. Cline’s Vehicle rolled several times before coming to a rest. 78 year old George W. Cline, who was a passenger in Cline’s vehicle was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. Rita Cline was treated and released and the driver of the other pickup was not injured. Possible charges are pending and the investigation is ongoing.
