Science Hill Principal Listed As Assault Victim After Student Brings Knife To Campus

Last week we reported a juvenile student at Science Hill High School was arrested for bringing a knife onto school property. And now, according to a Johnson City Police report, that student is charged with aggravated assault of Science Hill’s Principal, Michael Barnett. The report states the 55 year old principal as the victim in the assault that occurred on November 15 on the school’s campus resulting in Barnett receiving severe lacerations during the incident. The juvenile is scheduled for a court appearance in January in Juvenile Court.
