Woman Charged in Early Morning Crash
A woman has been charged in an accident that happened early Wednesday.
Molly Tinkham was traveling northbound on Wilcox Drive when she reportedly fell asleep at the wheel, veered into oncoming traffic, and struck a utility pole on the opposite side of the roadway.
Tinkham was unharmed in the accident and denied transport to the hospital. She was charged with failure to exercise due care and failure to comply with financial responsibility.
Police say the utility pole stretched across Wilcox Drive causing a complete road closure. Appropriate detours have been implemented and motorists should make an effort to avoid the area until repairs are complete.
