Woman Allegedly Beaten, Thrown Over Embankment While Hiking…Three Individuals Arrested

The Unicoi County Sheriff’s Department rescues a woman who was found bloody and beaten near a Unicoi County campground. The woman was apparently brutally beaten, hit in the head with a rock and then thrown over an embankment by three individuals the woman was hiking with. The victim says she played dead until the trio left and she then crawled to a nearby campground. The three individuals, whose names have not been released were arrested after a traffic stop.
