Driver Will Not Be Charged Following Death Of Pedestrian Who Was Struck

A man will not be charged after he accidentally hit and killed a pedestrian last week who was walking along Lee Highway in Washington County Virginia. Virginia State Police say the unnamed driver of a 2015 GMC Yukon on December 18 will not be charged. The pedestrian was dressed in dark clothing and was walking in the right travel lane with his back to traffic when he was struck. 38 year old Travis L. Toney of Rockingham County, Virginia died on the scene.
