Johnson City Police Arrest Man on Vehicle Theft and Burglary Charges

he Johnson City Police Department has arrested a man on charges stemming from a vehicle theft and residential burglary.

20-year-old Jaylon Tyreece Shepard is charged with Aggravated Burglary, Theft over $10,000, Felony Evading and Theft Under $1,000..

Shortly after midnight on January 2nd JCPD responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from the 4100 block of the Bristol Hwy.

When they arrived in the area they observed a vehicle matching the description turning onto the Bristol Highway from Lake Village Court. The driver and passenger would end up fleeing on foot.

Police learned that Shepard had entered a home and took the vehicle keys, among other items. He was arrested and is being held in the Washington County Detention Center on a $20,000 bond.
