Emory and Henry Basketball Coach Headed to Coach High School Alma Mater
Emory and Henry head basketball coach David Wilson is stepping down to take the same position at his high school alama mater, Memphis University School.
Wilson leaves on a high note after leading the Wasps to their first ever Old Dominion Athletic Conference title in 2018. Wilson graduated from Memphis University school where he was runner up for Mr. Basketball in Tennessee in 1999.
After a 25 year absence Emory and Henry also made an appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament.
As a national search is conducted for the next head coach, assistant coach Bobby Perez will take over day-to-day operations of the team.
