Carter County Man Charged With Attempted Second Degree Murder After Shooting
A Carter County man is behind bars after being charged with attempted second degree murder. Carter County Sheriff’s authorities charge 51 year old Claude Harvey Banner with attempted second degree murder after he shot 49 year old Marvin Lee Clawson early Sunday morning. A report states both Banner and Clawson told deputies that Banner shot Clawson. Clawson was taken to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition. Banner is being held on a 75 thousand dollar bond in the Carter County Jail.
