Man Facing Additional Charges in Carter County Child Sex Crime Case

A man is facing new sex crime indictments in Carter County and is set to be arraigned on Monday.

29-year-old Joshua Herman was arrested in December after a woman reported finding sexually explicit photos of her child on her boyfriend’s phone.

Herman is now facing two counts of raping a child and 5 counts of aggravated sexual battery.

He has been in jail since his arrest in December and is expected to have an attorney appointed Monday to represent him.
