School Bus Driver Charged in I-81 Crash

A school bus driver has been charged with following too closely after rear ending a tractor trailer on I-81 SB.

The incident occurred Thursday morning when the bus, hauling students from the Narrows High School Band to Virginia High for a performance, crashed into the the back of a tractor trailer slowing down for a mobile work zone around Mile Marker 12 of Interstate 81 Southbound in Washington County, Va.

Three students were taken to the hospital for treatement of injuries sustained in the crash.
