Virginia Lawmakers Back In Richmond For One Day Session
Southwest Virginia Lawmakers are back in Richmond today for a one day session that will see votes cast on a gas tax hike, a handheld cellphone ban for drivers and other vetoes and amendments proposed by Governor Ralph Northam. The one day session could see the GOP led General Assembly knock down some of Northam’s more prominent proposals while refusing to overturn his vetoes. The Governor has been in a battle to keep his job after a blackface scandal resulted in calls for his resignation.
