Structure Fires Down, No Fire Related Deaths For Third Year In Kingsport

The Kingsport Fire Department reports the number of structure fires that occurred in the city dropped in 2018 and for the third year in a row, there were no fire related deaths in the Model City. A report shows the Firefighters responded to a total of more than 83 hundred incidents in 2018, up slightly from the year before. There was also nearly 700 thousand dollars lost in damages from 75 structure fires reported in the city.
