Authorities Await Autopsy Report On Body Found In Russell County

Southwest Virginia authorities are awaiting autopsy reports on a body found in Russell County over the weekend. The decomposed body may belong to a man missing from Buchanan County since late 2018. According to authorities the body was found in an area where extensive search efforts were conducted back in January in connection to a missing person case involving a Buchanan County man.
